Create moving scene previews
A short moving preview can help someone understand a capture before opening the interactive scene. Twinbly's preview controls offer orbit and capture-path options, with a short duration suited to a library card or shared scene.
Choose the right camera movement
Simple orbit makes a smooth turn around the scene center and does not require capture-camera data. It is a useful starting point for an object, a compact room or a clear overview.
Capture path follows the camera positions available from the original capture. It is useful for showing the route through a walkthrough. The result depends on the route that was recorded; it cannot invent missing camera positions.
Smoothed orbit uses available capture-camera positions to inform the orbit's placement. It also requires that camera data. When the app disables a path-based option, choose a supported option rather than assuming the file is broken.
Generate a preview
- Find the scene in your library or published-scene controls and choose the preview-generation action where available.
- Pick a supported camera movement.
- Choose a short duration: Quick, Standard or Tour.
- Let generation finish, then inspect the result before using it as your scene's preview.
The duration choices are up to 5, 10 or 15 seconds. A capture-path preview can be shorter than the selected limit when that suits the path. Inspect the framing rather than choosing a longer clip automatically.
For a property walkthrough, a path preview can introduce the journey. For a small object, an orbit can show its shape quickly. If a scene is incomplete on one side, choose a framing and movement that represent it honestly.
What can affect generation
Preview generation depends on supported scene data, the browser and available memory. Large scenes may exceed the browser's preview limits even when the interactive streaming viewer can display them. Follow any size or readiness warning shown by the app.
If you change a scene, inspect its existing preview. A saved video is not a live reflection of every later edit; regenerate it when the old framing or content no longer represents the result you intend to share.
Three different choices
- Arrival view: where the interactive visit starts.
- Idle motion: how the live viewer moves before someone interacts.
- Preview clip: a recorded moving preview.
A social cover image is another choice: it controls the still image used when a link is presented by a service that supports that preview. Different websites and messaging apps may display different preview formats or cache older media.
Do not describe a recorded clip as a fully interactive tour. Use the public scene link or embed when you want people to navigate for themselves.
